Privacy Policy

The Mountain Child is run by Kavita Agarwal in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. We don’t track you, sell your data, or run an ad business on the side. This page explains, plainly, what we do collect when you use tmcexperiences.com and why.

What we collect

The only personal information we collect is what you give us when you send an inquiry through the form at /inquire:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (optional)
• The country you’re travelling from
• The journey you’re interested in, preferred dates, group size, dietary requirements, and any notes you choose to include

We don’t use third-party analytics or advertising trackers right now. If we add them in future (for instance, Google Analytics to understand which pages visitors find most useful), we’ll show a cookie consent banner and not load anything until you say yes.

What we do with it

Your inquiry is delivered to [email protected] via Resend, an email-sending service. Kavita reads it personally and replies within 24 hours.

We use what you send us to plan your journey and stay in touch about it. That’s the entire purpose. We don’t add you to any mailing list, share your details with third parties, or use your information for marketing without asking first.

Where it’s stored

Inquiry emails sit in Kavita’s inbox (Google Workspace) and in Resend’s sending logs (typically retained for a few weeks). That’s the end of the chain — no separate database, no CRM. The website itself doesn’t store anything you type.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry emails as long as our conversation is alive. If you ever want us to delete everything we have on you, send a note to [email protected] and we’ll do it within 30 days.

Your rights

Whether or not you live in the EU, UK, or anywhere else with strong privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Ask us what information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
• Ask us to delete your information entirely
• Ask us to stop using your information

Email [email protected] with any of these requests. We aim to respond within 7 days and act within 30.

Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. For meaningful changes (new data we collect, new third party we share with), we’ll flag it via the inquiry confirmation flow.
