About this

An intimate women-only circle combining physical strength, emotional reset, and Himalayan immersion.

An intimate women-only circle combining physical strength, emotional reset, and Himalayan immersion. This isn't a retreat — it's a recalibration. Walk through ancient forests, practice breathwork by glacier-fed rivers, and share stories around a fire with women who understand the weight you carry.

Designed for women who lead demanding lives and need space — not spa treatments — to reconnect with themselves. Every element is intentional: the altitude, the silence, the movement, the company.

She Returns to the Mountains

Itinerary

Day byday.

You arrive in the mountains and the pace of life immediately changes. Settle into your traditional Himachali homestay, meet the women in your circle over a warm home-cooked meal. A gentle evening grounding session — breathwork and light movement — to help your body and mind arrive fully. The mountains are already doing their work.

Morning yoga and movement session outdoors — waking the body slowly, meeting the altitude with softness. A guided forest walk through trails that feel like they were kept just for you. In the afternoon, a village interaction with local women — simple, unhurried, genuine. Evening: calming aromatherapy and reflection circle. The first of many.

Morning yoga flow, tailored to how your body is feeling today. A longer hike through meadows and ancient village paths. Lunch with a view. In the afternoon, a cultural exchange with mountain women — their stories, their daily relationship with this land, their quiet resilience. Evening: guided meditation in a calm, wild spot chosen by your guide — a clearing, a ridge, a quiet place under open sky. Journaling and sharing circle after dinner.

Your most physically active day. A challenging hike with real altitude and real reward at the top. Functional fitness session in the morning to prepare — exercises designed for your current fitness level, not a benchmark you have to meet. Evening: extended breathwork and nervous system reset. A long communal dinner. Open conversation.

Morning yoga — restorative, unhurried. A visit to a local temple — approached as a guest, not a tourist. Time to sit, observe, and absorb. Afternoon free — rest, write, or simply sit with the view. Evening: essential oil therapy and a grounding practice in the wild. Quiet. Still. Necessary.

A traditional steam and spa session woven around a gentle morning walk. Holistic health discussion over lunch — practical, personal, and rooted in the landscape you've spent the week in. Evening: closing ceremony — mantra, reflection, and gratitude. The kind of evening that stays with you long after you leave.

A slow morning, a final breakfast together, last yoga session if the group wants one. Say goodbye to your hosts properly. Last looks at the mountains. Departures are made with full hearts and something quietly shifted inside.

Kavita, Founder & Lead Guide of The Mountain Child

Your guide

Personally ledby Kavita.

Born in Haridwar, raised between the Ganges and her grandmother's hill house. Trained as a trek leader, then stepped away from agency tourism in 2019 to build something smaller, slower, more honest. The Mountain Child became real in 2021.

She knows every trail, every village elder, every hidden spot. But more importantly, she knows when to push you forward and when to let the mountains do the teaching.

I travel with The Mountain Child for seven years every year. I love the expertise, the local community Kavita makes us part of, the spiritual side where she guides us, her happiness in showing us the beautiful Indian nature, and the higher meaning she gives every step.

FAQ

Commonquestions.

A basic level of fitness is helpful as we hike daily, but no extreme fitness is required. The journey is designed to challenge you gently, not break you.

No. Yoga and breathwork are part of the experience, but this is fundamentally about mountain immersion, movement, and meaningful connection — not a structured yoga program.

Absolutely. Most women come solo. The small group format means you'll connect deeply with 4-6 like-minded women.
