Itinerary

Day byday.

Land in the colour and noise of Rajasthan. Meet the team, meet the bikes, receive the briefing. An early dinner in the old city — your first taste of the culture you're about to ride through.

A measured first day in the saddle. Shorter distances, warming up the riding rhythm, learning how the bike and the road feel together. The landscape is already dramatic. You are already somewhere.

Arrive at Jaisalmer rising from the desert — a golden fort that seems to emerge directly from the sand. One day to explore the fort's narrow lanes, carved havelis, and rooftop views. One day to ride into the Thar Desert itself — dunes at sunset, a desert camp overnight if conditions allow.

Wake in the desert and ride out before the heat builds. Long, open roads through spare, quiet landscape. The kind of riding that empties the mind of everything that isn't the horizon ahead.

The sacred lake town — an unexpected softness after the desert. Walk the ghats, watch the rituals, eat well. A built-in rest day: browse the market, sit by the lake, or do nothing at all. The best days sometimes have no plan.

The ride to Udaipur through the Aravalli hills — winding roads, green valleys, a different Rajasthan. Two days in the city of lakes. Heritage walks, cultural evenings, the kind of beauty that makes you slow down even when you want to keep moving.

Riding through smaller towns and older roads — forts, step-wells, and royal cenotaphs that most tourists drive past. Your guide knows which doors to knock on, and people answer.

Long riding days back along the route — but different now. You know where to stop, what to order, who to wave at. Stops that weren't on the original plan because now you know where to look.

A final morning in the saddle. Group debrief, shared stories, the particular friendship that forms between riders who have covered distance together. Rajasthan stays with you — in the colour, the dust, and the scale of it.

Kavita, Founder & Lead Guide of The Mountain Child

Your guide

Personally ledby Kavita.

Born in Haridwar, raised between the Ganges and her grandmother's hill house. Trained as a trek leader, then stepped away from agency tourism in 2019 to build something smaller, slower, more honest. The Mountain Child became real in 2021.

She knows every trail, every village elder, every hidden spot. But more importantly, she knows when to push you forward and when to let the mountains do the teaching.
